Nintendo is introducing a brand new app, but it's only for Nintendo Switch Online members. The app will let users listen to Nintendo music from various well-known game series.
While many are still awaiting for official news of the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo has been hard at work surprising fans with other releases. In addition to new free games regularly arriving for the Nintendo Switch Online service, the company also recently introduced the unexpected Nintendo Alarmo alarm clock. Now, fans of the company can enjoy a new app.

Switch Online Update Adds One of the Best Nintendo 64 Games of All Time
The latest update to the Nintendo Switch Online service adds one of the best Nintendo 64 games ever to the Expansion Pack tier.
6Nintendo has introduced Nintendo Music, a standalone app that lets players listen to music from classic game franchises like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and more. The app is out now, and can be used on Android or iOS devices. In addition to streaming music, there are numerous features that fans may be interested in that make the experience a bit more special than just listening to a song on YouTube, via CD, or downloads.
Nintendo Music App Details
The Nintendo Music app includes curated playlists around themes, like Powering Up, Good Night, or Break Time. These playlists include songs from numerous games, so fans can switch it up without manually hunting for individual tracks. Additionally, Nintendo has included a neat feature that allows users to avoid spoilers. If users so desire, they can tell the app to not play any spoiler tracks from games they haven't completed yet so that boss fights and other exciting moments aren't spoiled in advance. Users can also extend songs for up to 60 minutes or set the app to loop them. The service will also recommend tracks to users based upon the games they've played on their Nintendo Switch.
Those who are interested in the app will need a current subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, but the service doesn't require the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. Additionally, members who are on Family Plans or those who are on temporary Nintendo Switch Online free trials can also use the service.
Unfortunately, Nintendo Music isn't integrated into the existing Nintendo Switch app for phones, so users will need to download a separate app to utilize it. Those who are hoping for more music options will likely be glad to know that the service intends to introduce more games and tracks as time progresses. Users who are interested in trying out the service can find it on their smartphone's app store.
