Pokemon Trading Card Game has revealed the special cards of Eevee and its Eeveelutions that will be available in the Prismatic Evolutions special expansion. Pokemon TCG follows the release of each new mainline game, bringing new cards for players to collect through new expansions, boosters, and more.

The Pokemon franchise is in Gen 9, and to accompany the arrival of Scarlet and Violet, various content such as promotional cards and expansions have been released. The first main expansion was Pokemon TCG: Scarlet and Violet, which hit the shelves in March 2023 with 256 new cards, marking the return of the popular ex cards. The most recent main expansion is Stellar Crown, which released 175 new cards in September this year, mainly focused on Tera Pokemon. Now, fans of collectible cards can celebrate, as exciting news has been revealed about one of the upcoming releases.

A Pokemon TCG fan is unlucky enough to have a high-value card stolen from them, but in a surprising twist, they end up getting it back.

Pokemon TCG has revealed the artwork for the nine special cards with Eevee and its evolutions that players will find in Prismatic Evolutions. This special expansion will be released on January 17, 2025, and feature over 170 cards. The expansion will mainly focus on Eevee and the beloved Eeveelutions, which will appear as Stellar Tera Pokemon ex on foil cards with impressive illustrations. The Eevee-related cards are originally from the Terastal Festival ex subset, which will have over 180 cards and will be released exclusively in Japan on December 6.

Prismatic Evolutions will be the fourth special Pokemon TCG expansion. In addition to Eevee-related cards, it will feature 12 ultra-rare Support cards, 10 ex cards, 15 Tera Pokemon ex cards, and five hyper-rare ex cards engraved in gold. Another key detail is the presence of two reverse holo cards with a Poke Ball or Master Ball etched on the background, something done for the first time with the release of the expansion of Pokemon cards focused on Gen 1. Trainers can acquire Prismatic Evolutions in several formats, including elite trainer boxes, binder and poster collections, mini tins, and a surprise box.

Eevee and the Eeveelutions are arguably among the most beloved pocket monsters in the Pokemon franchise, which is seen beyond the mainline games. Players encounter Eeveelutions in Pokemon GO and Pokemon Unite, with the critters receiving just as much love from trading card players. Previously, the monsters gained the spotlight in 2021 with the release of Eevee Heroes, a 101-card subset that is part of the Sword and Shield era and serves as an enhancement to the main dual expansion, Silver Lance and Jet-Black Spirit.
